Obituary of Julie Lyn Steele

Julie Lyn (Martinson) Steele, 61, of Proctor passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family, on June 17, 2021, due to complications of diabetes.

Julie was born, in Duluth, to Victor and Irene (Newlander) Martinson on June 29, 1959.

Julie was employed at CADT in Duluth. She enjoyed family gatherings, reading, watching Vikings games, and caring for her beloved cats.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Shelly (Allen) Kivisto of Proctor; brothers, Craig (Julie) Martinson of Duluth, Todd (Mary) Martinson of Proctor; and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth, MN 55807. Visitation at 3: 00 and memorial service at 4:00 with a reception following service.
