Obituary of Mildred Eunice Warren

Mildred “Millie” Eunice Warren (Johnson), 93, of Hermantown, MN, formerly of Munger, MN, passed away on May 28, 2021 at Edgewood Vista in Hermantown. She was born in Duluth on March 16, 1928 to Victor and Edith Johnson. 

Millie attended McKinley School (K-8) 2 Room School and graduated Hermantown High in 1946. She married Alfred Warren in Hermantown the following year, on June 14th. Millie worked as Proctor Schools secretary for 21 years before retiring in 1994. 

Millie was involved with many organizations including the Solway Senior Citizens, Flamettes Auxiliary of Solway Fire Dept., Monday Bunch, Maple Grove Homemakers, and was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church. In 1997, Millie even co-authored the Solway Centennial Book. 

Millie was preceded in death by her parents Victor & Edith Johnson; brother Clayton Johnson; husband Alfred Warren; and granddaughter Sadie Pearson.

She is survived by her sons, Greg (Carolyn), Steve (Carol), & Gary; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one special nephew, Keith Johnson; one great niece; one great-great nephew; and a special extra son George Opoien.

A memorial service for Millie will be held at the Hope Lutheran Church in Cloquet, MN on Friday, June 11th at 11am with a visitation at 10am and a luncheon to follow. It will be officiated by Rev. Walter Lehenbauer. Millie will rest at the Solway Cemetery in Cloquet, MN. She will be missed.
