Obituary of James William McVeigh
At the age of 88 of New Hope, MN passed away peacefully in Ft. Myers, FL, on May 16, 2021. Born and raised in South Minneapolis, attended Roosevelt High School and was graduated from the U of M in 1959. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 stationed at Ft. Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. He worked for various food brokers selling to grocers and most recently was vice president at Deli Express in Eden Prairie. He loved boating and fishing and was a member of the Saint Croix Marina in Hudson, WI, since 1972. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Lorraine Bassamore and Marion Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Bonnie, his son Daniel, daughter Dr. Shana Heisler and grandsons Andrew and Joey Heisler and many nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Gathering at the Brooklyn Park Cremation Society Chapel 7835 Brooklyn Blvd. Friday, June 4 from 4-7pm. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
