Obituary of Dale R. Blomquist

Blomquist, Dale R. Age 86, surrounded by family, peacefully passed away May 24, 2021. Preceded in death by parents and son, Bryce. Dale was a BS graduate of UW and MBA at SCU with computer studies at UCLA, LA. Dale retired after a 40 year career as a Software Engineer. He worked at Lockheed, Hughes; Control Data and Honeywell. And was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Ohio. Dale grew up in Brule, Wisconsin on the Finnish family farm, that was homesteaded in 1898. He was very proud of his heritage, Suomi SISU and saunas. Most of all, he loved family and spending time in the outdoors on the Brule River where he canoed, hunted and fished most his life. Survived by wife of 65 years, Gloria; children; Reed (Deb), and Ryan, Julianne; grandchildren, Brandon, Nate, Lenea, Amy, Jennifer; Brittany, Mallory and mother Renae, Alec and mother Julianne; 2 great grandchildren, Charlotte and Boden and mother Amy. Celebration of Life will be planned for early Fall.
