Obituary of David Jon Sorensen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Jon Sorensen on May 23, 2021. He was born on February 13, 1967 in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from Burnsville High School in 1985. Mankato State University in 1988. He resided in Burnsville, MN. Dave loved camping, traveling, cooking, walking on the beach and being by an outdoor fire. He loved his children and family very much. He is survived by daughter, Krysta, son, Lucas (Hannah); his father; Darrell (Lynde) Sorensen, his mother; Lynne Sorensen-Faust; sister, Kris Sorensen; brother, Scott (Vickie) Sorensen; sister, Jill (Chad) Langhorst, grandchildren: Oliver, Liam and Joshua, nieces and nephews; Derek, Alex, Jake, Kaylie, Ally and Evan, Aunt Deanna and cousin April, as well as many more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rochelle; step-father, Ken Faust; grandparents, Lloyd and Doris Sorensen, John and Dorothy Beardsley. Dave will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, great story telling, his devotion to his wife and love for his children and grandchildren. We will miss him more than words can express. A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 2,2021 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 1979 Old Hudson Road, St. Paul, MN 55119. Visitation will be from 4-6pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
