Obituary of Rodney Johnson Jr

In Loving Memory of Rodney Waldemar Johnson Jr, age 77, of St. Louis Park, MN passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family as he went home to with the Lord on May 3, 2021.

Rodney (Rod) was born 12-26-43 in Anniston, Alabama – He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Rod loved being outdoors, whether it was camping with the family, watching the Twins games in his backyard oasis. In the summer you knew where to find him. He was always the life of any party with the best sense of humor and would be sure to put a smile on your face.

Rod was a loving Friend, Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, & Great Grandfather. Predeceased by his parents Rodney Waldemar Johnson Sr & Eleanor Rose Johnson. Survived by his wife Candy Johnson of 53 years, May 6th, 1967. Daughters Wendy Johnson (Tim Johnson), Melissa Gootee (Philip Gootee), Grandchildren Kyle Johnson, Douglas Dixon, Kaitlyn Johnson, & Amber Dixon. Great Grand Children Elijah & Hudson. His siblings Steve Johnson (Lynn Johnson), Cindy Rupprecht (Jeff Rupprecht) Timothy Johnson (Cindy Johnson). Nephews Geoff Johnson (Ame E Brown), Mason Stromberg, Erik Johnson, Niece's Natalie Johnson (Ben Peine), Nicci Schoen (Adrian Schoen).
