Obituary of Roland Gary Klipstein
Roland -Rollie- Gary Klipstein born February 12, 1938 passed away peacefully in his sleep April 19, 2021. He was 83 years old. He is survived by his children Kevin and Susan. Siblings Neil, Rita and Karen. Also grandchildren Andrew, Jack and Zoe and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Marylou, siblings Walter Jr, Paul, Duane, Jim and Beverly and parents Leita and Walter Klipstein.
Rollie was a family man that loved his wife, children, family and church. He worked for Leef Bros for 45+ years and was proud about everything he did. He was a kind, funny and a gentle soul. He was loved by everyone he met and everyone was truly a friend.
Rollie and Marylou were married in October 1960, 11 years later, they had their son Kevin, born February 1971, shortly there after, their daughter Susan was born November 1972.
Rollie and Marylou loved to entertain and never needed a reason to celebrate. Many family gatherings, holiday parties and birthdays were celebrated in their home over the years.
In 2001 Marylou suffered a massive stroke and never fully recovered. Rollie took early retirement to care for the love of his life and because of his love and dedication, Marylou was able to stay home and be cared for by Rollie and their children Kevin and Susan til her passing in 2016. Over the 50+ years of their marriage Marylou and Rollie had 6 dogs that they loved very much and considered family members, Melvin, Buddy, Lady, Shelby, Maggie and Coco. Coco now lives with Kevin. Rollie had a passion for old fashioned cars, gadgets and fixing things. He was a handyman and loved a challenge trying to figure something out. He was always the neighbor or friend to call when you needed help.
Rollie was truly a remarkable man and will be missed by so many!
