Obituary of Shirley Ann Jaehnert
JAEHNERT
Shirley Ann (Marincell)
Age 85, of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, and long-time resident of St. Paul, passed away in her home surrounded by family on April 5th. Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Tom Marincell; mother, Margaret (Fietek) Marincell; beloved husband, Paul Jaehnert; and sons, Steven and Mark. She dedicated her life in providing a loving home for “My Guy” (The love of her life), Paul Jaehnert and raising their six children with unconditional love. Her Passion was loving and hugging her grandchildren, and watching the joy on their faces as they opened presents from Grandma. Shirley loved spending time with her friends, playing cards and laughing the night away. She enjoyed taking her kids on the 14B bus to go shopping in downtown St. Paul (Woolworth’s, Dayton’s and Donaldson’s were her favorites). Watching her sons play hockey at Arlington, Phalen, and Johnson High School brought smiles to her face (and cold to her toes). Shirley looked forward to the State Fair every year, trying new foods and looking at crafts. Many memories were made at the Como Zoo and Conservatory. She loved traveling to new and exciting places with her family and friends, but Duluth, MN was her most favorite place on earth. Shirley is survived by her children, Kathy (Mike) Snaza, Jerry (Patty) Jaehnert, Karen (Jerry) Anderson and Rick (Mari) Jaehnert; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. A combined celebration of life of both Paul and Shirley Jaehnert will be held on Saturday, May 1st at 11:00 AM at the Cremation Society of MN - St. Paul location, 1979 Old Hudson Rd, St Paul, MN 55119. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM; memorial service at 11:00 with a luncheon following the service. Social Distancing suggested, and masks required.
