Lorraine Perron

Obituary of Lorraine Adelaide Perron

Lorraine Adelaide (Doolin) Perron died peacefully in her sleep at home on February 17, 2021 at age 93.

Lorraine was born in Houston, TX on April 15, 1927, before this date was officially declared as Tax Day in 1954. She subsequently lived in Pittsburgh, PA and Chicago, IL, before settling in Minneapolis, MN in 1942. Lorraine spent her life devoted to her children and family. An excellent seamstress, she retired from Dayton's alterations in 1986.  Prior to her late husband's death, she and Don spent years traveling the country, spending lots of time in the Southwest.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Adelaide Doolin, husband Don Perron, former husband Bruce Churchill, daughters Carol Scroggins and Nancy Shatto, granddaughter Kindy Olson, grandson Christopher Scroggins, sister Patricia Yunker, and nephew James Yunker.

She is survived by daughter Mary (Dick) Olson, grandchildren Nicole (Tim) Lundmark , Keely (Patrick) Lumby, Nicholas Scroggins, Derrick (Kari) Shatto, Jodi (Chris) Aydt, 12 great grandchildren, nephew Michael Yunker and niece Kathleen Eyesh.

She liked yellow roses, covered bridges, the Minnesota Twins & Vikings, and her Yorkies. A kind, loving Mother who never complained or had a bad word to say about anyone. A lesson to be learned by us all.

Due to Covid-19, she had requested no service or memorials. Just think of her when you see yellow roses.

Listen, can you hear

wagon wheels

horses hooves

the creak of old timbers?

Oh, the stories you could tell.

Let me cross over

to be with you again.
