Ken was a member of the class of 1970 Superior Senior High. He wrestled and played basketball, and 1970 was a champion year for basketball. He continued his education at the former STI, now WITI, and played basketball under Jim McFaul there, as well.
Ken had many jobs through his life beginning with service station attendant and light mechanic at the former Hammond Spur. He enjoyed being a courier in the cities, and loved to talk about his experiences working for the Hayward school district., and "bouncing" at the Hayward Pubs.
Ken relished the times spent at his dad's place in Barnes. He loved sitting outdoors in the summer just enjoying the weather, always a water or tea in his hand. Ken loved watching football, especially the Vikings. He made sure he had snacks to fix so he could stay in on Sundays watching the games. He loved helping others. His phone rang often, and he'd say, there are a lot of people out there without cars, and they always want rides. Ken would usually say yes.
He was looking forward to summer and a time of more freedom to travel. He was missing out on his grandchildren and was hoping to get to know them better.
His last call, he said...we'll talk later.
so long my friend
