Bruce Anderson

Obituary of Bruce D Anderson

Bruce DeWayne Anderson of Bloomington, age 70, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bruce graduated from Alexandria High School in 1968 and from the University of Minnesota in 1972. Bruce was always the person to ask when it came to numbers. In fact, he chose not to retire because of how much he enjoyed working with numbers. He was the numbers guy at Bethesda Church as well, where he was a member for 45 years. Bruce was the face of Bethesda to many. As an usher he was always the first to greet people and make them feel welcome. Bruce’s generosity has made a lasting impact on his church family. Bruce is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol. Together they loved traveling. Their favorite destination was Hawaii, but most of their trips were to be with their children and grandchildren. Family was a priority to Bruce, who never liked to miss a birthday for any of his 12 grandchildren. Bruce’s walk with the Lord was clearly shown through his generosity and integrity. Bruce was a devoted husband, loving father, nurturing grandfather and above all a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, L. DeWayne Anderson; mother, Ruby Anderson; and brother, Keith Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Carol A. Anderson; daughter, Denise (Aaron) Triplett and grandchildren, Grayce, Faith, and Hope; son, Mark (Jill) Anderson and grandchildren, Caleb and Anneliese; son, David (Rachael) Anderson and grandchildren, Kendall, Parker, Connor, Cody, and Hunter; daughter, Carrie (Jason) Rodahl and grandchildren, Elsie and Edith; brother, Bob (Pat) Anderson; brother, Jeff (Peggy) Anderson; sister, Carol (Tim) DeLapp; sister-in-law, Susan Anderson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Church, Prior Lake, MN, Mortgage Reduction Fund.
