Obituary of Charles William Bailey

Charles William Bailey, 87, of Duluth, MN, left this world on Friday, February 14th at 12:20 AM - surrounded by family.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd, 1:00 PM, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church.

Charles graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1955. He enlisted in the army and spent 16 months in Korea. He joined the DM&IR Railroad in 1959 as a personnel specialist, working there for 27 years; retiring as Director of Safety and Plant Protection.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Nelson Bailey and Ruth (Brower) Bailey, and sons Charles Bailey and Jonathan Bailey. He is survived by daughter-in-law Mary Jo (Peterson) Bailey, George  Bailey and wife Sharon Bailey, Dana Bailey, William Bailey, Margaret (Bailey) Hamlin and husband Mark  Hamlin, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
