Obituary of Betty Hyttinen

Betty Hyttinen, 89, of Floodwood, Minn., died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth. She was born on December 13, 1929, to Charles and Sadie Koskela.

Betty attended school in Floodwood, and was married to Leonard Hyttinen. She worked at Senior Friends in Floodwood, and was very active in the church. She loved crafting and sewing.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents, Charles and Sadie; son, Jim Hyttinen and daughter, Joan Hyttinen.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Gene) Polla; grandsons, Kevin (Cassie) Polla, Bryan Polla and Eric Hyttinen; granddaughter, Jennifer Hyttinen; great-grandson, Alex Polla and great-granddaughters, Bethany Polla and Morgan Osborne.

A memorial service will be held at 12, noon, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Hope Lutheran Church in Floodwood, with visitation one hour prior.
