Obituary of Ronald John Richardson

Ronald John Richardson, age 85, of Apple Valley, born 08/01/1934 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed away 07/10/2019. Preceded in death by daughter, Andrea Swenson. Survived by wife, Sharon E. (King); children: Diana (Lou), Paul (Denise), Shannon McNally and Michael McNally, Maureen (Mark) Anderson and Casey Tiedens; grandchildren: Geoffrey, Devon, Tracy and Mitchell; great-grandson, Jackson and son—in-law, Mark Swenson. Ron was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the Army from 1953-1956. He became a police officer in the village of Richfield in 1962 and served the City of Richfield as patrolman, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and Deputy Public Safety Director. He retired in 1990 after 27 years of service. Private family services will be held. Private interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
