Obituary of Richard Linsten

Richard Linsten, 72, of Duluth, passed away March 30th at his home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Rick was born to Clyde and Henrietta Linsten on October 1st, 1946. After graduating from Central High School he was drafted into the Army and volunteered to serve in Vietnam. After his tour he returned home to marry his first love, Nancy Lou (Nick) and had 3 daughters.

Rick took great pride in his career as a journeyman at Davidson Printing for 40 years. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his talent for woodworking, BBQing and playing/watching a wide variety of sports.

Rick was preceded in death by infant daughter, Carrie Ann; parents; brother, Bob; brothers-in-law, Tom Kanuit and Danny Nick.

He is survived by wife, Nancy; daughters, Rhonda Rae (Sean) Carlson, Nicki Jo (Jason) Linsten-Lodge; grandchildren, Ashley Linsten, Rory Carlson, Kallie Carlson, Sidney Lodge, and Ethan Lodge; great-grandchildren, Karissa Florance, Demarhi Pulphus and Demir Pulphus; siblings, Jane (Jake) Johnson, Barb (Tom) Kanuit, Clyde (Gloria), and Jack (Barb); in-laws, Carolyn Linsten, Gary Nick, David (Tammy) Nick, Kathy Nick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick's family would like to thank the many staff members of St. Luke's Home Health Care, Hospice and doctors that cared for him.

Gathering of family and friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Monday, April 8th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
