Obituary of Herbert James Johnson

Herbert James Johnson, 87, of Saginaw, MN passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at his home. He was born in Duluth, MN and preceded in death by his parents William Johnson and Evelyn Cox, three sisters, and one brother. Herb was a 1950 graduate of Denfeld High School and a combat veteran of the Korean War. He was employed for 34 years by United States Steel and was also employed as a Security Guard at Diamond Tool. He was a member of the American Legion Post 71 in Duluth. Herb is survived by his wife Joanne, only son Art (Sandra) Johnson of Superior, WI, granddaughter Calla Johnson (Kenny Gilbertson) of Duluth, MN, sister Margaret Milne of Davenport, IA, and many nieces and nephews. Private family graveside services will be held at Oneota Cemetery.
