Obituary of Mark Allen Berg

Mark Allen Berg, 49, of Moose Lake, Minnesota passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 7, 2019. Heaven gained a giant angel. Mark was a sergeant at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Moose Lake for 21 years. He graduated from Denfeld High School in 1988 and was involved in football, hockey, and track. Mark's gift to everyone who knew him was his big heart, his kindness, thoughtfulness, sense of humor, and love for his family, friends, and his dogs. In addition, his passion in life included hunting, fishing, sporting activities, and his love for music. He especially cherished his time with family and close friends. Mark is preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Joan Berg and his two dogs, Harley and Woodtick. Mark is survived by his brother Scott (Beth) Berg, sister Kristy (Paul) Schultz, Uncle Manny (Lynda), niece Daphne, nephews, Lars and Kaleb, many cousins and friends, and his loyal canine, "Goose". Join us in a gathering of Mark's friends and family on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth,Minnesota from 3-6pm.
