Obituary of Ruth Ellen Olson Kimball

Ruth Ellen Olson Kimball, 88, passed away on February 18, 2018 at Sunnyside Health Care Center surrounded by family. Ruth was born at home in Maple Hill/Grand Marais, MN on July 6, 1929 to Olaf and Lillian Olson. She held many cooking jobs, but retired from her favorite job at the Billy Graham Institute in Minneapolis. She valued family and faith in every decision and never turned down an opportunity to be with family. She is survived by siblings Shirley Ann Paro, Carol Jean (Norm) Hibner, Donald (Judy) Olson, Helen Lusk, her children Ken (Jo Ellen) Kimball, Jim (Connee) Kimball, Ginger (Donald) Clement, and Kevin (Randi) Kimball. She was very proud of her 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her sisters Betty, Dorothy, Janet, and brothers Kenneth and Roger. A celebration of her life will be held March 10 at the Cremation Society, 4100 Grand Ave Duluth, MN 55807. Visitation at 2 pm, service at 3 pm with a reception to follow.
