Obituary of Betty J Wagner-Rake

Betty J (Winter) Wagner, of Superior, WI, previously of Pasco WA, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 22, 2018 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her brothers John and Don Winter and her sisters Marie, Barbara and Patsy. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her 5 children: Sharon Mehrman (Superior WI), Bruce Wagner (San Antonio, TX), Nancy Lennon (Omaha NE), Brian Wagner (Stevensville MT), Mark Wagner (Pasco WA), 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers Roger and Mickey Winter and sisters Judy Christiansen, Kathy Warren and Linda Ysen. Betty was born in Cohasset Minnesota on December 18, 1921. She met her future husband Paul prior to his serving in World War II and upon his discharge they settled in Duluth Minnesota. Duluth continued to be their family home until 1968 when they relocated to Staples, Minnesota and then on to Pasco Washington, where they worked and lived out their remaining years. Betty was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Pasco Washington, and numerous civic and charitable organizations. Of particular note and service was her commitment to Meals On Wheels for which she delivered meals for over 40 years in the Pasco area. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Minnesota in Duluth, Minnesota.
