Obituary of Ray W. Kleveter

Ray W. Kleveter, 65, Cohasset, Minn., passed away peacefully on February 27, 2018 due to complications from his Leukemia and Hodgkin's which were caused by his exposure to Agent Orange while serving in the Army in Viet Nam. Ray is survived by his soul-mate and loving wife, Lesley O'Leary Kleveter. He is also survived by his amazing and loving children Barbara Kaye, Edward (Jennifer) Kleveter, Diana (Geoff) Daigle, John Kleveter, Samantha (Chris) Shetler, and Wes Kleveter; favorite non-daughter-in-law Courtney Lee; and grandchildren Izzabella, Jaylen, Milo, Ayden, Ian, Carter, Grayson, and Laurie. Also survived by brother-in-laws Bruce (Michelle) O'Leary and Daniel (Sharon) O'Leary; sisters Shirley (Mel) Schwanz, Betty Root, Mari Kleveter; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and also his brother, Donald Kleveter. He was an attorney, created and taught a bar review course, and taught at Pacific Coast University - School of Law. He fought his cancers valiantly since being diagnosed in 2009. Through the wonderful knowledge, care and expertise of Dr. Steven Kuross, the fabulous Essentia oncology/infusion nurses and caring staff, Ray enjoyed many extra years with his loving family and friends. The Celebration of Life gathering will be at 2:00 p.m. and service at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 7, at Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, Minn.
