Obituary of Geraldine “Gerri” Frances Waisanen

Geraldine "Gerri" Frances (Werschay) Waisanen Passed away surrounded by family after a short battle with leukemia at St Luke's Hospital on February 28, 2018. Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lydian (Pratt) Werschay; daughter Linda (Waisanen) Eickmeyer Hagen; granddaughter Andysue Eickmeyer Johnson; great granddaughter Eleanor Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Kenneth; brother Frank (Diana) Werschay; sons Miles Waisanen Superior, WI and Glen (Carrie) Waisanen Gordon, WI; daughter Peggy (Rob) Albright South Range, WI; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at the infusion room at Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake as well as Dr. Perlov and the extraordinary 2 West hospice staff at St. Luke's. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 pm until the 3 pm memorial service on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN 55807.
