Obituary of Royce Elmer Remund

Remund, Royce Elmer of Bovey, MN, died July 9, 2015. Royce was born August 17th, 1935 in Wilmot, South Dakota to Elmer and Amelia (Overby) Remund. He graduated from Wilmot High School in 1953 and following serving in the Army, he attended Northwest Television and Electronics Institute. He worked for 35 years as a research tech for Rosemount Engineering. He continued his love for hunting, fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He married Stephanie Maack on June 6th, 1960 and they lived in Bloomington, MN for 41 years. Following retirement they moved to their lake home in Bovey, MN., where he was able to continue his hobbies and build furniture for the grandchildren and take them fishing, boating and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie, son, David Remund, daughter, Jenine (Paul) Ripley, and grandchildren, Stefan and Wes Remund, Samuel, Carlie Jo and Jacob Ripley, sister, Maxine (Gene) Nordby, sister-in-laws, Johanna Zschomler, Martha (Don) Eide, brother-in-laws John Maack, William (Terri) Maack and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, father- and mother-in-law, Frank and Dorothy Maack, sister-in-law, Patsy Maack and brother-in-law, Stan Zschomler. A memorial service is planned for Monday, July 20th at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at 10:00 am, at Word Of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice are preferred.
