Obituary of J. Nadyne MacDonald
MacDonald, J. Nadyne "Penny" Passed away November 26, 2014 in Bloomington, MN. Born July 31, 1925 to Jessie Mae Crow and Clarence Monroe Penticuff in Kansas City, KS. Grew up with older siblings Clarence Monroe Jr. ("Bud") and Nancy Lee ("Sis") and favorite aunt Marie Lash. Graduated with a degree in journalism from U of MN where she met Ira A. MacDonald (b.1920 d.1990). They wed Sept. 26, 1946 and enjoyed 44 years of marriage. They lived and made friends in Austin MN (1947-56), Wilmington DE (56-67), Prior Lake MN (66-71), Columbus OH (71-87) and Brevard NC (87-96). She worked at newspapers and libraries in Minnesota and Ohio and raised six children. Enjoyed cooking, knitting, reading, music, and playing games with family and friends. Penny was a member of House of Hope Presbyterian Church. Missed by children Jane (Joe) Toskes (Bel Air, MD), Sally (Tom) Kopacek (Apple Valley, MN), Jeff (Gail) MacDonald (Oak Creek, WI), Lisa (Charlie) Talcott (Byron, MN), Laura MacDonald (Kirk Fisher) (Columbus, OH) and Bruce (Nancy) MacDonald (Brevard, NC); 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Memorial service and interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery t.b.d. Gratitude to all for physical, emotional, and spiritual support in her final journey, especially Sally and Tom.
