Obituary of Mary Louise Austin

Austin, Mary Louise Bruce Strand age 84. Born June 8, 1931 and died on December 3, 2014. Mary was born to Clyde and Goldie Bruce in Kimball, SD. Mary was a mother, business owner, teacher and grandmother. Survivors include 7 children: Martha (Brad) Johnson of St. Cloud; Jennifer (Ben) McCurdy of Apple Valley; Peter (Sandy) Strand of Burnsville; Clydia (Vern) Bennett of Blaine; Millard (Juan) Strand of Lakeville; Anna (Paul) Rogers of Owensboro, KY; Christinia (Wayne) Thompson of Owensboro, KY; brother, John (Pam) of Flippin, AR. Mary had 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, brother (Robert), husband (Millard J. Strand), 2nd husband (Jerome J. Austin) and grandson (Cory Thompson). In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Thank you to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home and to St. Croix Hospice for the loving care given to Mary. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Rejoice Lutheran Church, 1155 County Road 74, Clearwater, MN 55320.
