Obituary of Luane E. Welde

Welde, Luane E. "Lew" Age 87, of Eden Prairie, MN. Born Yellowbank Township, MN, passed away December 15, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, one sister, and four brothers. Lew preferred Oldsmobiles, Cadillacs, jump-suits, fixing things to buying new, a good bacon cheeseburger, and chocolate cake with ice cream. He adored his wife Arlys and delighted in time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grand-children. He was in the Army in Germany following WWII. Lew spent a lifetime in sales throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota and Kansas working for Firestone and Ashland Oil. He truly enjoyed making any sale (along with a few stories or jokes) and was happiest when the sale went well for everyone. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years, Arlys; son David (Judy); daughters Becky (Lamont) Koerner, Jody Welde, Angi (Ted) Ault; grandchildren Sam Rhode, Ben (Cindy) Rhode, Jon (Kiley) Rhode, Emily (Steve) Logterman, Tim (Ashlee) Koerner, Abbie (Kyle) Armstrong, Maggie Ault, Simon Ault; great-grandchildren Desmond and Ayla Logterman, Jack and Kate Rhode, Sydney Armstrong; brothers Bob and Doug Welde; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. Memorial service/Celebration of life Dec. 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM, Peace Church, 2180 Glory Drive, Eagan, MN 55122. Memorials preferred to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
