Obituary of Alice N. Lund
Lund, Alice N. Alice Lund passed away December 31, 2014, just a few weeks from being 97 years old. She was born in Aitkin, MN on Feb. 10, 1918. She devoted her life to the full time ministry of teaching God's Word the Bible. She and her husband led a self-sacrificing lifestyle, even foregoing children to do God's will. They served as missionaries of Jehovah's Witnesses in Puerto Rico, and as traveling overseers to congregations in Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Kansas, Texas, and South Dakota. She spoke Spanish fluently and helped start Spanish speaking congregations in the US and Puerto Rico. Following the death of her husband, Alice faithfully continued her full time ministry work for many more years in the Andover, MN congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She never had much materially but was indeed rich spiritually. As the scripture in Mark 10:29, 30 states, she had "100 times more now in this period of time, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields" And indeed she did. Her many "family members" in the Andover congregation dearly loved her and cared for her and will miss her until she is resurrected (Acts 24:15). It was her wish not to have any formal memorial service.
