Obituary of Diana Pelayo Jentoft
Diana Pelayo Jentoft, 49, Duluth, died at Solvay Hospice House on Jan. 1, 2015, with her beloved family at her side.
She was born on June 25, 1965 in Mexico City and moved to Duluth in 1999 and was most recently employed at the UMD Bookstore.
Diana's proudest achievements were her children; being a mother brought her incredible happiness and fulfillment to her life. She enjoyed lazy Sundays at home with a warm cup of coffee and her children by her side. Diana was an avid reader who believed there was so much more after death. She loved theater, music, as well as the sweet things in life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Pelayo Camacho, and husband, James Jentoft.
She is survived by children, Melissa Olivo Pelayo and Nicholas Jentoft; mother, Maria Jimenez Barcenas; parents-in-law Sue and Larry Jentoft; siblings Susana Pelayo Woodward (David), Daniel Pelayo Jimenez, and Daniela Pelayo (fiance Pradeep Ramanathan); nephews Sebastian and Marcos Woodward; and Tiger, her furry companion.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, Duluth. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to assist with her children's education. Services by the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
