Obituary of Bonnie Giroux

Bonnie Giroux, age 89, lifelong resident of West Duluth passed peacefully Friday, January 2, 2015, joining her loving husband of 69 years. It was important to Bonnie that she pass away at home with her family. She was born July 8, 1925 in Duluth to Charles and Henrietta Fisher. On June 1, 1946, Bonnie married Clifford Joseph Giroux, Jr. Bonnie enjoyed dancing, gardening, going out to lunch, living room chats, car rides and shopping with her best friend, Joan. She was a member of the American Legion and the D.F.L. Party. But most important in Bonnie’s life was being with her children, grandchildren and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; a grandson, David; her parents; and a younger brother, Charles. Bonnie is survived by her children, Sharon Yielding of Duluth, David (Jean) of Concord, CA and Charles (Jodi) of Duluth; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; was loved and will be missed by many family members and good friends.
