Obituary of Stephen G. Welch

Stephen G. Welch, long time resident of Duluth, died in his home on Jan. 2, 2015. Steve was born Dec. 15, 1948 to Edward G. Welch. and Shirley (McCommak) Welch. Steve had a startlingly sudden and hard-fought battle with cancer. He had just turned 66. Steve's wife, Stephanie Leanza-Welch, and son, Devin Welch mourn his loss, as do many others who's lives he touched. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, in Avalon Educational Institute, 404 West Superior St., Duluth. All who knew Steve or his family are welcome. Come as you are. No drugs or alcohol please.
