Obituary of Derald W. Johnson D.V. M.

JOHNSON, Derald W., D.V. M. , age 91, of Plymouth, formerly of Benson, passed away on January 18, 2015. Veteran and Aviator, U.S. Navy. Longtime owner of Brooklyn Park Pet Hospital. Veterinarian for Hennepin County Animal Humane Society. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen; daughter, Cynthia Romey; brother, Loren “Dean” Johnson. He will be deeply missed by his children, David (Janet), Sandra (Stephen Gray), Richard (Karen Hawkins), Nancy (Yared Nerayo), Steven, Robert (Lhea Lecy); grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Sennai and Salome Nerayo; great grandchildren, Senniya and Jayla Nerayo; siblings, Virgil, Lorraine, Glenice, Cecil, Robert, Berle, Barb; many relatives and good friends. Visitation at 6pm with Celebration of Life 7pm Friday, January 23 at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park (763-560-3100). Private interment at Fort Snelling. In lieu of flowers, family will accept memorials for the Hennepin County Animal Humane Society, Golden Valley, Mn.
