Obituary of Patricia Tarry Harrison

Patricia Tarry Harrison, a Two Harbors resident for over 50 years, slipped away quietly from this earth Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Essentia Hospice. She was 80 years old. Pat was born in Elyria, Ohio. She graduated from Elyria Catholic High School and went on to become an X-Ray Technician. She was married to Patrick Harrison in 1954 and moved to Two Harbors in 1959. Pat was active at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, having been director of the choir and altar server supervisor. She was a champion bowler and HAM Radio aficionado. Along with her family, she enjoyed many backpacking/canoe adventures across the BWCA. With daughter Treasaigh, she owned and operated Northland Printing for more than 25 years. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Ann (Ray) Knight and John (Clara Mae) Tarry; a sister, Alice McGuire; brothers, Jack Tarry and Ted Tarry; brother-in-law, Thomas “Mick” McGuire; and two grandsons, Erick Harrison and Ian Isakson. She is survived by Patrick; daughters, Patty (Steve) Isakson of Proctor, Kelly (Kent) Hanson of Mission, TX and Treasaigh (Mike) Anderson of Two Harbors; sons, Michael (Vickie) Harrison of Two Harbors and Sean (Barb) Harrison of Rochester, MN; sisters, Jimae (Larry) Robertson of Miami and Terry Fadel of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Evelyn Tarry of Elyria, OH and brother-in-law, Michael (Lynda) Harrison of St. Joe Island, Ontario; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous beloved nieces, nephews and “adopted kids” along her life’s path. Visitation will be held Friday, January 23rd from 10:00am until the 11:00 am Memorial Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic, 227 3rd Street, Two Harbors. Inurnment will be in the spring in Elyria. The family would like to express thanks to the wonderful staff at Chris Jensen, the caring team at St. Mary’s, special nurse and “adopted daughter” Miranda Graden and Fr. Tom Foster, for his faith-filled presence during Mom’s last hours.
