Obituary of Marcus Henry Spoden

SPODEN, Marcus H., age 91, of Rockville, passed away on February 1, 2015. A gentle, quiet, caring man. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Winnifred Spoden; brothers, Ray, Art, Joe, Clarence and Allie Spoden; brother in-law, Art Pfannenstein; son in-law, Richard Hessler. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 62 years, L. Jean Spoden; children, Jennifer Hessler, Marcus A. (Catherine Mohs), Pam Dols (Paul); grandchildren, Heather, David, Danny, Michael, and Kelley Hessler; Austin, Connor and Olivia Dols; great grandchildren, Andrew, Aidan, Kieran; silbings, Harry (Marge), Rosie Pfannenstein; many relatives and good friends. Special thanks to the nursing staff at St. Cloud V.A. in Bldg. 50 – 1st floor. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Saturday, February 7 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 501 Main Street, Cold Spring (320-685-3280). Private interment Ft. Ripley State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
