Obituary of Robert Galovich

Robert Galovich, Jr., 74, of Superior, passed away on February 14, 2015 in St. Luke’s Hospice with his family by his side. Robert was born in Virginia, MN on May 3, 1940 to Robert and Milave (Knezovich) Galovich. He graduated from the Buhl High School and later moved to Duluth. For the past 25 years he managed Miketins Boarding Home. He was an avid racing and sports fanatic. He enjoyed breakfast with friends and spending time with his family and dog Marley. He was a generous and loving father who was always there for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Nicholas Sodergren. Robert is survived by his children, Dan (Cindy), Denise Sodergren, Robert III (Sheila); grandchildren, Samantha Sodergren, Madelyn Galovich; sister Marlene (George) Quiggin; niece Nicki (Rodney) Vucenich and great-niece Lily Vucenich. The family thanks the staff at St. Luke’s Hospital for the wonderful care they provided Robert. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-6 pm with a time for prayer and sharing at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
