Obituary of Deborah Ann Horne

Horne, Deborah Ann "Deb" Deb, 63, passed away peacefully in her home as she had wished on Mar. 8, 2015 after a year-long battle with lung cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Lois Horne. She will be forever missed by her life partner, significant other and soulmate, Bill Smith. Also survived by her aunt, Lillian Johnson; cousins, Arlen (Sue) Johnson, Heather (John) Lawrence, Jason (Erin) Johnson and lots and lots of other cousins. Deb supported the Animal Humane Society and her love of animals showed in the way she doted on her two cats, Rocco and Bella. She also took great pleasure in annual trips with Bill to Puerto Morelos, Mexico, Bingo at the Knights of Columbus, pull tabs at Saints, Sports Page, Cardinal Bar and Rail Station where Deb was known as “The Lucky Blonde”, spending time with loved ones and decorating her home with treasures unearthed at estate sales, garage sales, and flea markets. Deb will be fondly remembered and missed by her family and many friends, and especially neighbors. A memorial service will be held at 5 PM Sat., Apr. 4 at Everett McClay VFW Post 1296/Saints Bingo Hall, 311 W. 84th St., Bloomington with food from Fat Lorenzo’s and music in the bar to follow. Visitation 4 PM.
