Obituary of John Lundquist

Lundquist, John Age 83, of Menahga, MN formerly of Bloomington, MN, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 22, 2015. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and grew up in Wheaton, MN. The youngest of 5 children to Alpha and Karl Lundquist. Served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Business Degree. Began a lengthy career as a Realtor, starting out at Marv Anderson Construction for over 30 years and recently retiring from Coldwell Banker in Park Rapids. John loved sports of all types, fishing and being at “the cabin” with family. Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Rose; children, Tom (Laurie), David, Brian (Lynne), Wendy and Karen; grandchildren, Melissa, Emily, Ben (Aubrie), Marie, Kate, Wesley, Reese and Lydia; great-granddaughter, Kaelyn; nieces and nephews. Beloved husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. Memorial service 11 AM Fri., March 27 at Peace Lutheran Church, 24025 Hwy. 34, Nevis, MN 56467. Service in the Twin Cities to be announced. Notice will follow. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Lutheran VIA de Cristo of MN or to Peace Lutheran Church.
