Obituary of Rosemary Dunaway Burt

Rosemary Dunaway Burt, age 101, passed away on April 9, 2015. She was born in Duluth, Minnesota on January 22, 1914 to Lewis Amos Dunaway and Blanche (Harrison) Dunaway. She lived in Minnesota, Florida and Illinois as a child and graduated high school in Chicago. She married Robert Iwen Burt in 1937 and spent her adult life in the Minneapolis area. She was married for 69 years until her husband passed away in 2006. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Philip and Fred Dunaway. She is survived by her only child, Robert (Beth) Burt; grandsons, Ian (Rhodessa) Burt and Kyle Burt and two great-grandchildren, Liam and Nora. Rosemary spent many happy years working with both nursery school and younger Sunday school children. She was a volunteer in later years with the Bloomington library and also with Hands and Hearts estate sales through First Christian Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed painting and handicrafts. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
