Obituary of Mary Nan Clausel

Clausel (nee Doney), Nan, age 88 of Edina, MN , formerly of San Antonio, TX on May 4, 2015. Nan was a long time member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church where she was a lay reader and member of the choir. She worked in the promotion department and as the music critic at the San Antonio Light newspaper for many years before retiring. Nan was an accomplished pianist and singer, and as a lover of music and animals belonged to the Master Singers, Tuesday Musical Club, Mensa and volunteered at the Humane Society.Preceded in death by son David Louden Clausel; brother Louden Charles Doney, Jr.; parents Mary Gaynor and Louden Charles Doney, Sr. Survived by daughter Caroline Clausel (Scott Skordahl); grandchildren Audrey Nan (Sean Patrick) Bourg, Spencer Selby Peter (Stephanie Jayne Chan) and Kyle Jens Skordahl; great-grandson Patrick Calvin Bourg; beloved poodle Diamond. Services will be held in San Antonio, TX. Memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society.
