Obituary of Martin Roger Larrabee
Martin Roger Larrabee of Duluth, passed from his earthly body on May 13, 2015, at the age of 90.
He is back in the arms of his wife, Dorothy, of almost 64 years, who passed December of 2013.
Martin was born April 21, 1925, in Burnett County, Wis.
Martin retired from the Soo Line Railroad and other than his job, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, cross-country skiing, woodworking, hunting, and playing cards.
Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Larrabee; his son, Darryl Larrabee; a sister Merle Johnson, and two brothers, Jay Larrabee and Guy Larrabee.
He leaves behind two daughters: Patti Asher (Dennis) and Susan Casey (Casey); grandchildren: Joe Kubesh (Sara), Cole Kubesh (Molly), Kim Casey, Mike Casey (Kae), Sean, Lisa, Jason Larrabee; a brother Dale Larrabee (Claudine) and many other family and friends.
The family gives a big heartfelt "thank you" to the staff on the Elm Wing of Chris Jensen Health & Rehab. About six months ago, the doctor was evaluating Martin and inquired about what made him happy. He said "I'm always smiling when I'm eating ice cream." So on this day if you wish to honor him, enjoy a heaping helping of ice cream!
At his request, there will not be a service.
