Obituary of Vivan Stenbock Bauers
Vivian Stenbock Bauers
Vivian passed away peacefully May 27th at St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth, one day after her 91st birthday.
Born to Harald and Nellie Stenbock in Maple, Wisconsin May 26th, 1924, she was the last remaining of six children.
Vivian grew up as a young girl loving the woods and flower-filled fields of Meadowlands, MN where her father had a small Lutheran church. She grew up in a large family where singing and music abounded, and books and education were abundant. She never lost her love of nature, or books and music. She was always learning something new.
The family moved to Duluth in 1936. In January 1946 Vivian married Thomas Bauers of Duluth.
A wonderful and loyal friend, a generous volunteer, Vivian gave herself to her church and friends with great generosity. She was always there to help. She loved and adventure and had traveled to London, Paris, Hawaii, and her beloved Sweden where she visited her father’s church in Laxarby. Ever after all things were related to “just like Sweden”.
Survived by daughter, Andrea (Eric) Brichta, of Edina, MN son, Robert Bauers of Esko, MN and granddaughter, Alexandra Patty of Mpls, MN, she will be greatly missed.
