Obituary of Melvin Lovan Fisher
Melvin L. Fisher, age 78, was born on November 19, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee. Melvin passed away peacefully in his home on October 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Melvin worked for many years as a plumber, a career he was extremely proud of. Melvin was someone who took no bull from anyone! He was straightforward with his thoughts and feelings and made it known how he felt about situations and people. Melvin was a loving, witty, strong-willed jokester, who had an extremely positive outlook on life. Melvin was compassionate and strived to help those around him anyway he could, even if that meant putting himself in a difficult situation. Melvin loved animals, bike riding, sports, poker, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Mountain Dew, Soul Food, and various genres of music such as: Soul music, R&B, and the Blues. Melvin is survived by a large extended family of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a sister, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him terribly. Melvin loved his family and will always be in their hearts and memories.
