Obituary of Donna Mae Grover
Donna Mae (Hartman) Grover, 86, passed away at Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living in Duluth, Minn. on July 17, 2016.
Donna was born on May 21, 1930 in Brainerd, Minn. and was a longtime resident of Park Point in Duluth until moving to Spirit Cove, near Norton Park, in 1995 and then to Keystone Bluffs in 2015.
Donna graduated from Denfeld High School in 1948 and married her high school sweetheart Manley on July 8, 1950. She stayed at home raising their four children until 1970, when she returned to school to finish her college degree, and commenced teaching elementary school for 18 years. She was a true believer in "growing" our youth and her gardens, which all bloomed under her loving care.
Donna was a member of St. Andrew's By-the-Lake Episcopal Church, and served on the church board and was a member of the Park Point and Norton Park Garden Clubs.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Hazel Hartman, her husband Manley, brother Richard (Dick) Hartman, and infant son Peter Benjamin.
She is survived by her four children Brian (Mary Ellen), Daniel (Janice), Deborah, and Thomas (Linda); 10 grandchildren, Lisa, Jabian, Kyle, Dane, Sarah, Cade, Steven, Matt, Elliot, and Eric; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
VISITATION: 3 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service on Sunday, July 24 in St. Andrew's By-the-Lake Episcopal Church, 2802 Minnesota Ave., Park Point, Duluth.
