Obituary of Rita Morinville
Rita Morinville, 93, of Duluth, peacefully joined our Lord on July 24, 2016.
She was born in Petersburg, Neb., on Aug. 4, 1922 to the late Emil and Kate Koskovich.
Rita was employed at the now defunct Duluth Avionics and later with St. Louis County as a food service provider in the day care centers until her retirement in 1987. Rita loved working with the children who referred to her as "Cooker." She was also a long-time adorer at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Chapel.
Rita filled her retirement years with dancing, touring the city with her friends, and exploring Duluth with her grandchildren, driving them around in her big yellow LTD. Her last years were spent enjoying the company of her youngest grandson, Nathan.
The family extends special thanks to Rita's loving caregiver RaeAnn Myshack. Thank you also to the Benedictine Adult Day Services staff.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Tellesphore "TJ"; daughter, Dorothy Morinville Solomonson; and granddaughter, Christinamarie Rogers; sisters, Mary Meyer, Josephine Nagel, Florence Jensen, Hatti Everett, Louise Fucci, Anna Williams, and Mathilda Starzky; brothers, Anthony, Victor, Arthur, and John Koskovich.
Surviving are daughters, Barbara (Eugene) Vetsch, Catherine (Michael) Olson, Bernadette Morinville Nelson, Frances Morinville, Margarita (Everett) Thiner; sons, George (Cheryl), Vaughn (Betty), Joseph (Carole), Maurice (Linda), Keith (Natalia), and Paul (Katherine) Morinville; son-in-law, Gary (Dorothy) Solomonson; sister, Annette Hager; and brother, Edwin Koskovich. Rita leaves behind 33 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 2 p.m. Aug. 6 until the 3 p.m. memorial services in Cremation Society of Minnesota; 4100 Grand Avenue; Duluth.
