Obituary of Lorraine A. Anderson

Lorraine A. Anderson, 97, of Duluth, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016 at Viewcrest Health Center, surrounded by her loving daughter Barb and her family. She was born Oct. 1, 1918 in Duluth to the late Swan and Anna Pearson. She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1936. Lorraine married Hubert "Bud" Anderson in 1938. She enjoyed camping and fishing up the North Shore, cooking and baking bars, playing cards and visiting with friends over coffee. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her three children, Janice (Curt) Groenwold, Dennis (Maryann) Anderson, Barb (Duane) Kyrola; one brother, Roy Pearson; grandchildren, Terri (Roger), Vicki (Terry), Scott (Dawn), Brant (Jennifer), Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Chad, Ryan, Nichole, Tom, Ryleigh, Corbin, Davan, Libby, and Summer. A special thank you to Viewcrest Health Center and staff for the exceptional care of our mother. SERVICE: 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 in First Memorial Chapel 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
