Obituary of Hon O. Harold Odland

Odland, Hon. O. Harold Age 92, passed away peacefully on Aug 14, 2016. Preceded in death by father Hjalmar and mother Susan Burchard; sister Harriett. Survived by beloved wife of 70 yrs, Mary Lou; son Craig; daughter Karen (Greg) Roth. Born on June 13, 1924 in Brooten, MN, Harold served 23 yrs in the US Air Force as a pilot, retiring as a major. Upon graduation from Gustavus Adolphus College, the U of MN, and William Mitchell College of Law, Harold was elected to the Hennepin County Courts and served as a judge for 28 yrs, retiring in 1992. He then served another 20 yrs as an arbitrator. Harold was known for a great sense of humor, a sharp legal mind, high integrity, honesty, and a great sense of fairness. He will be greatly missed. Services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016 12 PM at Creamation Society of MN, 7100 France Ave. S., Edina MN. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment at Fort Snelling, Mpls, MN. All memorials to donor's choice.
