Obituary of William O. Cook
William O. (Cook) age 95 of Mpls, and later years Northfield, died Aug. 14, 2016. Bill was born in Mpls, graduated from Central High School, served in the Coast Guard as a Radar Man during WWII. Graduated from the U of M in 1949 and retired from a long career at the U of M. Member of Lions Club and founding member of Aqua Gliders Dance Club. Preceded in death by loving wife of 59 years, Mary Jo; parents, Roy and Emma; siblings, Lois, Bonnie, LeRoy, Ruth. Survived by son, Thomas (Pamela); daughter, Monica Patton (Joe); grandchildren, Jason and Marc Patton, Ian and Colin Cook; 7 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held in the Chapel of Presbyterian Homes, 9889 Penn Ave S, Bloomington, Friday, August 26 at 2 PM. Private interment at Fort Snelling.
