Obituary of Karyn Lee Pfeffer

Karyn Lee Pfeffer, 66, of Duluth, Minn. was called home to join her son Aric, her parents, and siblings at Essentia Health Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. Karyn was born on March 14, 1950 in Duluth to William and Carol Pfeffer. She attended school in Duluth and held various jobs, lastly as a health care provider to clients with developmental challenges. Karyn was a kind and caring soul who loved to laugh. She and her partner of 32 years, Tim Voeltz, were devoted to the raising and care of Karyn's son Aric. Karyn enjoyed road trips to Manohmen and Hinckley. She loved bingo, camping, flowers, kids, family, and family gatherings. She was a brave and determined woman her entire life and will be deeply missed by all. Karyn was preceded in death by her grandparents, her son Aric, parents, and brothers Darrel and Dean. Karyn is survived by the love of her life Tim Voeltz of Duluth; siblings Doug of Carlton, Minn., Jerry of Wrenshall, Minn., Rodney (Wendy), Cindy, Scott, Todd and Tammy of Duluth, and Denise (John) Holmes of Wrenshall; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; her uncle and his wife; and friends and extended family. VISITATION: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. Celebration of Life on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 in Fond du Lac Community Church, 521 131st Ave. West in Duluth. Following the service there will be a gathering and lunch at the Eldorado Bar, 2110 Union St., Superior (Oliver), Wis.
