Obituary of Carolyn Jean Higgins

CAROLYN JEAN HIGGINS Carolyn Jean Higgins 74, passed away in Golden Oaks in Hermantown Tuesday morning, Sept. 13, 2016. She was born on Aug. 7, 1942 to Robert and Joyce Ward of Duluth. Carolyn was blessed with the hardest career ever. She loved children and had the opportunity to raise three of her own as well as daycare for several family's that included the Freeman's, Zierden's and Padden's. As her husband Roy used to say, "she has the biggest heart ever, and you can't find anyone to say anything bad about her". She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Higgins; mother, Joyce; father, Bob Ward and brother Jim Ward. She is survived by her sister, Connie Ward; daughter, Kelly Higgins; sons, Ken and Shawn Higgins; six grandkids, Broke, Ashley, Shawn Jr., Kieffer, Garrett and Clay. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 in the Fredenberg Community Center.
