Obituary of Beverly Belle McClanahan
Beverly Belle McClanahan, 85, of Moose Lake, formerly of Sturgeon Lake, went to heaven September 16, 2016.
Bev was born March 24, 1931, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, to Gladys Nagel and Harry Jenkins. Bev was united in marriage to Richard McClanahan on July 11, 1974, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Bev's greatest joy in life was her family and shopping; she was known to be at "Walmark" at 1 a.m., shopping with her grand¬son, Christopher. She was a great cook and everyone was always welcome. Helping people, even strangers, brought her happi¬ness. Her heart was sweeter than her love for apple turnovers. She had an uncanny knack for taking negative situations and turning them positive. You could always find her smiling and laughing. She came from humble begin¬nings, but finished her journey rich with love.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rich¬ard; sister, Janice Lasker; brother, David Jenkins; daughter, Sandra Shackle; sisters-in-law, Rosalie Overton, Lucille Wanke, Doretta Kucera, Bev Jenkins; brothers-in law, Leo McClanahan, Clarence McClanahan; niece, Rose Jen¬kins; nephew, Richard Jenkins; grandsons, Robert Shackle and Jeramy Swenson.
