Obituary of MilaAnn Mayer

MilaAnn Mayer, 79, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chisholm to Miles and AnnaRose Varichak, and grew up in Hibbing and Chisholm. She married the love of her life, Bill, in 1961, and they raised their family in Braham, Minn., before retiring in Cambridge, Minn. She worked as a registered nurse and retired from the Cambridge State Hospital. She enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, occasional trips to the casino, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Mike) Lundgren and Mona (Kevin) Bettencourt; her grandchildren: Nicholas (Sarah), Derrick (Sarah), Bonnie, Mason, Eden, Kenzie and Kelden; her great-grandchildren, Ruby and Billy; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband of 55 years, Bill; son, Mark; parents, Miles and AnnaRose Varichak; and brother, Roger Varichak. Funeral: A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Funeral Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. N.W., Coon Rapids, MN 55433. Visitation: A gathering will be held for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
