Obituary of Dorothy “Shrimp” Fredrickson

Dorothy "Shrimp" (Mertes) Fredrickson, 59, of superior fought a courageous battle with cancer but passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016. She was a long time Cooper School employee and also served many years at the Who's Bar. Dorothy was preceded in death by a daughter, Rickie Lee Carlson; parents, Patricia and Ronald Kaiser; father, Ronald Mertes; sister, Lori Ann Mertes and brother, Stephen. She is survived by her husband, Steven "Freddie" Fredrickson; daughters, Angela Blegen, Lacey (Seneca) Blackwell, Davianna Carlson and Star Fredrickson; her 10 grandbabies; other treasured family members; and many foster children; as well as her beloved Cooper School family. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in Lake Point Church, 1226 Ogden Ave., Superior, followed by 5 p.m. supper in the Who's Bar, 1114 Tower Ave., Superior.
